Rainy Day

So saturday I was home doing homework most of the day, it drizzled on and off but not too much happening with the weather. Finally I tell Ms. T get your shoes on, we'll go to the park and go for a walk.....kaboom baboom...hmm well a little thunder....than a torrent of rain! Okay what now, well we waited a little while and it slowed down so we decided to get our rain coats on and go anyway. It was a beautiful early evening and we saw a beautiful rainbow.

Tooth

As some of you know, Ms. T has what they loosely in lay terms call soft teeth. Basically her enamel sucks and her teeth don't turn black, they disintegrate away -strange. Anyway at the age of 3.5 she's had extensive dental work done, 3 root canals (have some kid version they do), 3 crowns, her two incisors have been back filled (to fill them out as they were fading away) and banded crowns were put on these (similar to a cap), and numerous fillings. Today we had the pleasure of having one of her back teeth pulled! It was what they called sick, it had previously been treated for a cavity, now her gum had a bubble on it and the tissue was inflamed. Now we are at home letting the meds wear off. Each time we go we alternate between either puking for a few hours or being very mean....today we are mean. Hopefully my next post is something fun :).

X-Mas Cookies

I've been trying to do more activities with Ms.T, haven't done as much lately as school and work take so much of my time. Tonight we made Xmas cookies together! She helped me mix the dough and decorate the cookies...tried to use the press but it was too hard for her to push. It was a lot of fun, but now I feel like I ate too many cookies!

Thanksgiving...thankful for family

Somewhere over the rainbow...actually Idaho

Had a great time visiting my Aunt & Uncle who live on the Middle Fork of the Salmon River. Ms. T loves it when we are in wide open spaces where she can run freely. Makes me sad that we have such a small yard for her...and the dogs.

Jordan Craters, Oregon

The family went to ID for a few days to visit family...and friends, along the way took a deture 25 miles off the hwy on a dirt road to the Jordan Craters. Awesome sight. From the parking area we could see a short area of lava flow with sphires, then there was a big "pile" of black "gravel"....strange, wondered why did they stack up a pile of broken up lava rock -they did not. It was the side of a large crater! Luckily T and I walked up the side of it :) Great fun, but scary with a independent 3year old.

Friends

Visits from old friends -but young of age :)are the best. (Whew not sure on the grammar of that.)My friend Carrie stopped through, on her special meeting travels, on her way to her new field in WA. In the mid 80's we lived in WA and we shared many a laugh and adventure. The visit wasn't long enough, but she was able to stay the night, finally meet Ms. T, and share a cup of coffee.

Pumpkin Day

Yesterday we had the most enjoyable morning with our Jack family and two friend's families at TJ Farms. I have some other pics that I will share later, but in midst of our adventure my camera battery ran out! Luckily AW had her camera and G & B so we'll have more later.

Future Chico State Student

Often on Sunday afternoons T and I have a little lunch at Celestinos Pizza by the campus and then take a walk around. This past Sunday it was such a beautiful day, it's the little moments of peace and sunshine with my little one that bring me such joy.

Less of Me

I've (once again) started on a mission to be healthier, happier, and there be a little less of me. Anyone have a magic pill to make this happen!? I've added a weight loss ticker to my page, the reason behind this is that I need to be held accountable, I need a spot to publicly track my progress, so that if I get off track I'll be reminded to get me rear in gear!

At the beginning of this month I began Weight Watchers, so far it has been going well. I've had a couple days where I've eaten over my points (Wedding & family outing), but have felt very comfortable and happy with my daily intake.

Me Time

Last week I was on a work trip to Palm Springs....rough huh :) and Riverside, was able to enjoy a day trip to Catalina Island. It was so nice to have a little Me Time, where I wasn't a mom, an employee, or a student! My co-worker and I went with our friends who were going for a few days for their aniversary -30 years!
