San Jose State University -Master of Public Health

After two loooong :) years I have completed my Master of Public Health! I still feel like I'm in gear, but hope I can enjoy the excitement and quit being stressed out! A word of thanks and a great big hug to all who helped me along the way.

The rain stopped and we got to run around and play at Billy Shaw Reservoir -It's the desert but on our reservation we have a good amount of water, marsh land, and water birds.

Those of you who are on fb know that I'm in Hawaii, Kailua-Kona. Here are some of the beautiful things that we've seen.

Hooked on Worms -Not Drugs Fishing Event

We spent a beautiful Saturday morning in Oroville -Bedrock Park at the Hooked on Worms, Not Drugs Event. They provided poles and worms for free to the kids.....we got in trouble by the park ranger for holding the poles while the girls went to the restroom. LOL they were only gone for 20 minutes :) then it turns out they went potty and then went to the bounce house -priorities ya know.

Enjoying Memorial Day

Would have liked to go to Nevada to honor my father and all veterans, but since I/we couldn't we decided to spend the day together as a family enjoying the wonderful place we live.

Komen Race for the Cure

Was a beautiful day yesterday at the Sacramento Komen Race for the Cure (Breast Cancer Walk/Run). Day started very early, we had to get up at 4 am to make it there by 7 for our team pic -lol which we missed cause we were waiting in a long line of cars to get into the parking lot at 7am. This is just part of our team, these are my co-workers from Four Winds, there were 15 or so out of our team of 20 who walked in the 5K.

Luvin the Warm Sunny Days!

For those of you who are from or have ever lived in Chico you know when they cut down the trees in the downtown park and made it the "plaza" we were all upset...so I still miss the trees and nice grass but we are learning to enjoy what it does offer. Ms. T had the best time on Sunday running in the fountain. We enjoyed a littl Jon and Bons and she played to her hearts content -wish I could be this carefree in life, maybe a little lesson for me? :)

I have been in denial -I'm the queen of that ya know, the W. Family is moving to the green state today.....it makes me very sad as I can't jet on over to see my girlfriend or have quick drive thru lunch when she comes to town :( Sending my love with them.

New Arrival

Mom and I had the pleasure of meeting Treston for the first time yesterday and sharing this cute bundle of joy with his Big Sister Abigail.

A little Sun

So today started out cloudy, but then the sun decided to join us...in part due to the fairly breezy day. Ms. T and her buddy felt like it was really nice out, warm enough (58 degrees) to play outside in her water pool! Not warm enough for me, but obviously great fun for the 3 and 4 year olds whose body temperatures I know run hotter than mine. Glad they had fun.

Enjoying the beginning of spring.

As most of you know, this past year and a half has been very hectic for me...but come the end of August I will be done with my MPH! For the past 7 weeks I have been in hell, that is the best way to describe biostatistics, this past Friday I took my final after which mom and I planned a hike to Table Mt. It was a much needed stress reliever and a celebration of the ending and beginning of my coursework...I'm now on to environmental health. Hope you enjoy the pics.
